About to puke my eyes out

I don't even know what that means, exactly, but I thought I'd better write it down.

Oh, I think we're all pretty clear on the meaning. Two weeks ago I would have substituted "cough" for "puke" and "lungs" for "eyes", but whatever. It's all about the body's attempt to rid itself of diseased organs.

Or else some sort of religious admonition:

"If thine eye offends thee, puke it out."
