well she's 41, and her daddy still calls her baby
I gave a talk in church yesterday. It was a bit on the surreal side, and I don't know if it sucked because all the church goers tend to compliment the way my mother compliments. It could have been the shittiest piece of poopo-smelling-trash they had ever heard, and they would still come up and say "That was so nice! You did a great job!". I hate that. Gives me little room to search for improvement, since I'm apparently perfect. Oh well. It's done, and I spent a lot of time preparing, and hopefully made some valid points. There was one compliment that I was more than willing to take. A woman named Susan who used to be an indie car racer came up and said "Your talk was short and to the point, and you looked damn fine doing it."
So roaring through the course of things I've never done as an adult, I also got all kinds of karaoke and sang Delta Dawn at the Twilight Exit lanst night. Praise you, sweet flask of courage.
