Sitting in a little breakfast (called the half and half) diner in Portland. Eating a fantastic combination of grilled bread, Cheddar, egg with pepper, tomato and dijon mustard. Oranges and coffee on the side.
I spent last night after the show @ a guy named Carl's house. He had his back broken in a car accident on the way to Boise from Moscow a few years ago. He moved to Portland from Nampa and he has a mallamute named Chloe. He said he was kind of an introvert and he didnt know may people, but everyone in the club came over to say hi.
I was pretty far outnumbered by boys at the show one of the headlining bands was from Seattle and their lead singer (clad entirely in a pure white suit) looked an awful lot like Josh Kaffer. Made me miss seeing him every once in a while. They were called the Dutch Flats and they're playing at Graceland sometime next week.
I think this little trip was really good for me. Suprisingly inexpensive, what with not having to pay for a room and all. so I plan to spend a little money shopping today.
Everything tastes like its lightly touched with cinnamon. I am so glad I didnt talk myself into staying home and going to the Erik Ehn weekend. All I ate last night was some celery and part of a peanut butter sandwich. I ended up getting an awful headache during the show, but all the flirty crushy winking helped the evening move along. It just seems like people are a bit more relaxed here. A little more willing to be helpful. I was offered to stay with one of the other bands and about 15 other people by a brother and sister named Brock and Bonnie. Carl had an extra bed, though. So I opted out of the party in favor of a good, safe, free nights sleep. I think it was a good decision. Particularly considering the extended Spencer Thorson plan. I want to stay on a semi distanced level with boys for a while, and that might take a little training.
