loaves and loaves

2 days ago, I came home to find a cardboard box leaning against my apartment door. I brought it inside and sliced through the flourescent orange duct tape with a knitting needle. Contents of box include:

Three (3) loaves of home made bread wrapped in vegetable bags.

Five (5) scones wrapped in a paper towell and vegetable bag.

One (1) package of bobby pins

One (1) hairbrush left behind last Christmas. no note.

Thanks mom.

what's a vegetable bag?

mom takes those bags that you put produce in at the grocery store and re-uses them for twenty years. vegetable bags. your mom doesn't do that? Also, have you heard bonnie prince billy?

yes, bonnie prince billy. good stuff, scott introspekt used to rave about that stuff. remember introspekt?

and no, my mom doesn't do that. she saves coffee tins and puts bacon grease in them.

used to have a weblog..maybe a year and a half ago? Am I making this up? good playlist today, while we're at it.

I went to fallout last night and the guy who i call dave who's name is not dave saw that I was buying a bright eyes EP and was like "You also liked Damien Jurado, right? You might like this." and I did. I also bought American Death Ray Music. They're doing a farewell in-store this weekend. we can safely declare my ass rocked.

bingo. how about song:ohia? the stuff is pretty good, and he's pretty well-received by most (i don't think jonas likes him though).

did you get the bright eyes/brit daniels ep? if you did, and you liked it, you should really check out spoon's kill the moonlight. in fact, get it anyways, and if you don't like it, you're just wrong.

ha!

Is this more sad bastard music? I'm going to judo chop someone. Just kidding. It sounds pretty good so far.

I bought this. There are points where he's singing and it sounds like it's his dad singing or something. The same voice but really really different. Like he lets go of the tenativeness and sings like hes in the church choir for a second. It's kind of disconcerting.

PS, I've never been wrong ever. so there, mister fancypants.

song:ohia = sad bastard music. the spoon album, however, isn't. take a listen at epitonic, right here.

bright eyes is a little too much for me most of the time.

remember those valentines Alderman and I made that year? those were awesome.

In other news, I saw a show at the crocodile last night and then woke up too late to take a shower this morning. the stamp they put on my wrist kind of transferred over to my cheek while I was asleep, so I just wiped it off as much as I could and went to work anyway. The woman I work with asked if i got hit in the face. it was great. the end.
