The fear set in when I had to put a 500 dollar deposit down to get a cell phone. I know it's totally useless to entertain these kinds of thoughts, but what if I have to live in a box? Worse yet, what if I have to live in Kent?
This week is all sorting stock options and file folders and emailing myself stuff. Walking on the balance between 'Oh! I know! I'm so sad to be going' and 'but I'm so excited to really start focusing on my studies."
Posted by Sonya at February 14, 2005 02:00 PMI just remembered something really great about being able to focus mainly on school: when quarters/semesters end, you're actually done with something for awhile. It's eerie and fantastic: it's like Extra Day really exists.
Posted by: Ida at February 14, 2005 03:39 PM$500? Geez, there are ads all over creation saying how they'll give you like a dozen of the damn things for free, so you can pass them out like crack or candy to your family & friends, and yet they need you to give them a half a gazillion dollars on deposit?
For that kind of dough, they better give you a solid gold phone with color screen, camera, blue tooth, and internet access, and that can shoot killer laser beams at the touch of a button!

Posted by: :: shawn :: at February 15, 2005 11:08 AMMy mom said "We could all live in Bothel!" and I told her that we might as well move back to Idaho, because living in Bothel is pretty much the same thing.
Posted by: sonya at February 16, 2005 09:44 AMI presume that Kent is in the US, 'cos Kent in the UK rocks. Must be a cultural thang.
