smile on your brother

While the rest of the nation swelters, Seattle is a whimsically clouded 73 degrees F. I am spending a lot of time carefully drawing the changing shapes of puffy vapor.

So far, my artistic efforts are...introductory. But every drawing of the same exact thing is a little better than the last one. The mountains are often imperceptible in the fog.

I'm having a summer completely opposite from last one. No days off, no dough, generally no leaving the house. But the end is in sight, and all I have to do is keep going. Keep getting up and getting dressed and showing up on time. Today I was rewarded with show comps!

But good news! After I went through 7 uncomfortable roomate interviews, (one of which included the comment : "I have this...I call it the Big Unit. Everyone loves my Unit.") suz made my dream come true and instead of moving with corey out, we are not moving anyone out. Corey is moving in! Happy stable lovey home.

I am inviting friends to drink water in the park. Maybe get a good swing on the swings. Are you available?

some love in here today

so....I mean SO much has happened. I'm not even sure I'm allowed to write about some of it in public quite yet. Lets say for now: Picketing and puking. Fortitude and Forgiveness. Nuts Bitches and "THAT'S THE GIRL! THERE IN THE BLUE DRESS!" Megaphones and the Evening News.

But what did I learn?

I learned that I'm not hateful. I learned that I'm strong enough to hold it together in very very public. I learned that fear is sickening and forgiveness fills you with light, breathable air. I learned that every point has a counterpoint. And incredible directed emotional intensity from a large group of people is exhausting.

I promise that all shall be revealed, but I need to heal up a little first.
