Go here. Buy TMTS 'Moonbeams'. It's so good summer 2007, you'll kick yourself if you miss it.
Corey and Suz are moving out today. Souxie has been my roomate for 3 years, longer than I've lived with anybody, and Corey is longest roomate number two. They've been bustling to get everything together and I've been trying to help, but -in my true heart- I want to hide the car keys and stuff all that stuff back into their closet. I want to sit on top of them until they promise not to leave.
I'm trying to be optimistic. They're going to be my portal to Atlanta, a city I've wanted to visit since I was in high school. They're still going to be good music and book recommenders and they're sure to love their first little house together. I wish them all the luck in the world, but I also wish all that luck would swing them back around to me.
Summer is great. All day bicycles pedal pedal pedaling and suddenly feeling a hundred miles from home. Slipping the useless worry off like a jacket, letting it fall to the floor and not being able to find it later. Weekday pinball. Weekday bonfires. Weekday eight mile walks. This morning I was met by a sunrise rainbow that started in Georgetown and spanned the water to Queen Anne. Yesterday I got a kiss. Melons, strawberries, peaches, nectarines, rhubarb. Scavenging for jelly jars. Reggae with the roomies. Saturday Soul Night. Solstice on the sound. Summer is so great.
From the seattle metro recycling and waste management pages:
"The waste produced by Seattle's dogs and cats is about what a city the size of Renton or Kennewick, about 50,000 people, would produce. Unless people take care of it, the waste enters our water with no treatment."
Learn something new every day, huh?
