Two things:
When I went in at dawn this morning, the full moon was as bright as the sun and twice the size. The solar system was peering in for a closer look.
The loudest week. Seafair should be a festival of birds and kites and rowboats and things that fly and float silently. Ducks and wishes and windblown hats.
Two other things:
I hate the summertime Jeopardy format. Teen Jeopardy is all about text messaging and Celebrity Jeopardy is riddled with performance art and profuse clapping after every correct answer. Intolerable!
Lots of people I love are about to have lots of babies. Babies of all kinds. Can't. Wait.
Today we ate breakfast and went out into the world for a while. I visited the locks for the first time ever and we watched the salmon jump and made every bus without waiting. We swam in the sound. We saw an owl and a heron. We got a little sun but nobody got burned. I smelled a dozen roses and cooed at as many babies. Also:
guitar hero,
handmade pretzles,
hilarious beach police who laugh and joke and give out tickets,
brownies,
predictions come true,
blackberry picking,
Ballard.
Today was a real fine day.
Thanks for inviting me to your wedding, guys!
I have a new roomate, and she seems to be a keeper. Lets hope we can be good for each other. (She loves plants!)
I'm extra canoe-adventure, ultra pool-paddler, mighty bike-arounderer, plants all a re-pottery and lets not forget crab-pottery in Father's Unsinkable Two Man Craft. I have a galaxy of freckles these days.
Got a minute to kill? This message board is hilarious.

and the jumping native american salmon should have been WA's quarter, just fyi.
Dear Universe:
I need a roomate. A good, solid roomate.
Thanks,
Sonya
