News from beneath the rock

Okay--no excuses. If any of youse is still checkin in let me know.

In the last month was reminded in a big way of how small this town is--things...shift, are not as they seem. There are ideas and ideals and truths and misunderstandings...but in the end--here I still am, in the middle of it. Can't hide in an anonymous city. And here, in the middle of it, I am supposed to be developing my point of view--creating outrageous art.

Am grateful for Jimmy, Lily, and Bindi Girl (and of course the Logger) for boosting me up.

And Now the News...

Just opened the holiday show which our class wrote: Three Pigs. A family musical adaptation of the children's tale with not so subtle references to Homeland Security and other Bush specialties. We go on tour on Wed. Tour stops include Petrolia--a community of about 300 people where they will put us up in their lovely solar-powered homes, and Cave Junction where we will stay in treehouses.

Tomorrow my first day off in weeks. To do: sleep in, fix car, write paper, take bath. That seems like a lot--maybe I'll just take a bath.

Coming to Seattle around the holidays--flying this time. Let's have a drink at the Six Arms while I'm there, okay?

Yay! Have been waiting to hear from you. E-mails bounced back. Please, yes, let's have a drink or some.

Ditto, thought you'd either dropped off the map or else there was a bunch of invisible writing here, and I couldn't hold my screen up to a flame to see the lemon juiced musings.
